Over the past two and a half decades, the University of the West Indies Alumni Association (Trinidad & Tobago Chapter) has demonstrated its motto of giving back something to the UWI.

Formerly established as the UWI Guild of Graduates (Trinidad & Tobago Branch), the Association has contributed to the development of the University and its student body through the distribution of bursaries, contributions to the Library collection, the establishment of the popular UWI World of Work programme and its highly successful Mentorship programme. Members of the Association’s Executive sit on every major board at Campus and University level.

The mission of the Alumni Association is to foster alumni interest and goodwill in University affairs by encouraging intellectual and emotional ties between members and their Alma Mata. Through its Outreach programmes, the UWIAA also seeks to foster interest in University education in the wider community, with a special emphasis on encouraging prospective students to pursue their tertiary education studies at The University of the West Indies.
